As you well know, online censorship of the public has grown by leaps and bounds in the past few years. On social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, anything that might run contradictory from the political left’s narrative of a fair and secure election is deleted, and users are suspended if not banned completely. And the same goes for anything that might insinuate that the current scientific heads making decisions on mask mandates and vaccine requirements might be wrong.
Naturally, Google and their video platform YouTube are no different.
According to their COVID-19 medical misinformation policy, “The safety of our creators, viewers, and partners is our highest priority. We look to each of you to help us protect this unique and vibrant community. It’s important you understand our Community Guidelines and the role they play in our shared responsibility to keep YouTube safe.”
The policy then goes on to state that any “content about COVID-19 that poses a serious risk of egregious harm” will not be allowed.”

On the surface, like most other online platforms, this only makes sense. After all, no one wants to be responsible for allowing content to be published and shared that may cause serious harm.
However, when we take a closer look at what all this includes, it becomes clear, this is less about preventing harm and more about holding their narrative as infallible. And it basically says as much…
Included in the “not-allowed” content on YouTube is anything that “spreads medical misinformation that contradicts local health authorities or the World Health Organization’s (WHO) medical information about COVID-19” regarding diagnosis, treatment, social distancing, transmission, prevention, self-quarantining, or the very existence of the virus.
So basically, if some sort of content goes against what the supposedly all-knowing WHO and local health officials say, it’s wrong and classified as ‘misinformation.’ It will then be deleted. Its creator warned of promoting such ideas and punished with suspension or worse, should the user continue to put out this type of content.
You see the problem with this, right?
I mean, yes, a platform as large as YouTube and Google must have some rules about what types of content isn’t allowed. For instance, content telling individuals to pump bleach through their veins to get rid of COVID-19 is obviously unsafe and very detrimental to one’s health. After all, bleach is a known poison to the human body…
However, let’s say someone recommends first praying and leaning on God to heal you of the novel virus. Under YouTube’s rules, this too will not be allowed, as it suggests that current guidelines on the treatment of COVID-19 aren’t being followed, at least not immediately.
Again, Google even says this in their policy.
“Content that encourages the use of home remedies, prayer, or rituals in place of medical treatment such as consulting a doctor or going to the hospital” is not permitted. Additionally, any recommendations for using hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, questions the efficacy of masks, or the vaccine is strictly prohibited.
This means that if you post something about going to church and praying for your body to be healed before checking with your doctor or going to the hospital, Google claims the right to censor that content. Likewise, if you choose not to wear a mask or not to get the vaccine, claiming that doing so is not in your best interest, again, your content will be deleted.
You know, the same way they used to delete and censor anything about the theory that COVID-19 was leaked from a lab. At the time, they labeled this as misinformation as well. And yet, now that it’s been proven as fact, such information is currently allowed. Imagine that…
I imagine talk of the world being round was once censored in scientific and political communities, as no one believed it as truth.
But that’s just it isn’t. Google and YouTube, as well as a whole host of other online platforms and media outlets, act as though the WHO and so-called medical experts know it all and are absolutely right as if nothing will ever come about to disprove their theories.
However, the likelihood of that being so just isn’t practical. It’s like saying science and technology are stagnant – never learning new things, never making discoveries, etc. It’s just illogical.
If Google wants people to have real conversations and be free to voice their own opinions, including their belief that God may actually heal them when science cannot, they can’t censor them just because they don’t agree. After all, they are not God and, therefore, can’t know what absolute truth is.
