Texas and Arizona Team Up to Dump Immigration Problem at Biden’s Feet

If you haven’t figured out yet, the Biden administration and most of those in Washington, DC, have a nasty habit of really only doing what concerns them, ignoring the rest of the country in the meantime.

Take the whole ban on fossil fuel leases and production in the US, for example. No one but overly environmentally concerned and liberal politicians dreamed that up. And yet the rest of the nation is now being forced to live with the consequences.

The same can be said about the ongoing immigration crisis at our southern border.

The crisis, as it has become called due to its massive growth over the last couple of years, has been a problem for a while. In truth, it was a problem even while Barack Obama was president. But, of course, he didn’t really do anything about it.

Once Trump was put in the White House, some changes were made, and good ones at that. A wall was built (or at least partially built), stricter immigration measures were put in place, and Trump’s infamous “Remain in Mexico” policy was adopted.

But since Trump was removed from office, those illegal immigration and detention facility crowding issues have been allowed to grow at an unprecedented and nearly unimaginable pace – all thanks to the Biden administration’s insistence that the border and its problems aren’t really a problem.

However, as I mentioned above, this is another case where they have simply ignored the concerns of everyday Americans and communities.

Thankfully, a few individuals are tired of getting walked all over and having their citizens be ignored.

One is Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who you might have heard has made it his mission to make the border a problem for Biden and not just the people who inhabit the Lone Star State.

The other is Arizona’s, Governor Doug Ducey.

The pair have actually decided to team up, as of May, to ensure that illegal immigration is not just seen and felt by those who live in border communities but also by those who live and work in Washington.

And as the Washington Examiner reported last week, they are making one hell of an effort. So far, they have rounded up some 2,500 illegal immigrants deemed worthy of release into the US by Biden’s Border Patrol and quite literally bused them to the president’s backyard.

That’s 79 buses so far that have traveled from border towns in Texas and Arizona to where Biden and his party lay their head.

Originally, it was just Texas sending buses. Abbott decided shortly after Biden announced that he end Title 42, a health policy that allowed immigrants to be deported based on infectious disease concerns without an asylum hearing. He and many others knew that if Biden couldn’t see the problem of ending what few policies kept southern border states like Texas and Arizona safe from an onslaught of more migrants, then he would make him see it.

In late May, Abbott announced that he had already sent 45 buses to DC so far, with many more on the way.

As he said, “Texans demand and deserve an aggressive comprehensive strategy to secure our border – not President Biden’s lackluster leadership.”

And Arizona leadership agrees. CJ Karamargin, a spokesman for Governor Ducey, says, “This is a problem caused by Washington. We’re bringing it to Washington, and we expect Washington to foot the bill. We’re going to send them a bill.”

Unlike Texas, Ducey has decided that Washington needs to see the problem as not only a physical one in which too many people are being allowed in but a financial one as well. Thanks to the influx of migrants into their communities, towns are pretty much being drained of any and all resources, be it food supplies, housing, healthcare, transportation, and, of course, the funding that makes all of that possible.

And so Ducey is sending Washington the bill.

Both governors know that a measly 79 buses or 2,500 immigrants dropped off in Washington likely won’t make much of a difference. But as Abbott says, when a zero is added to those numbers, maybe it will. Perhaps then, Washington and Biden will see the problems he is causing and finally work to solve them.

Of course, that may come around the same time Biden and his cronies are kicked out of Washington.
