Conservatives haven’t made any secret that they miss former President Donald Trump. Liberals haven’t made any secret that they still hate him. Not much has changed on the Trump front, except for one thing: Trump is no longer bound by being in the office of president, and he’s about to start making some noise.
The current president has left conservatives wishing for a Republican, any Republican to look out for things like tax hikes, constitutional rights, and almost everyone on the right wondering if anyone in Washington still cares about them. This feeling of destitution is due in part to something the former president did very well, which was connected with the people, and the people miss it.
To make matters worse, one of the key issues that have become the tantrum-inducing flavor of the month for the left is the absurdly self-defeating theory that in order for America to remain great, it also has to let in everyone who wants to come. Open borders, welfare for all, budgets are for suckers.
This has not only frustrated the right, it has made many who live along the southern border fear for their lives. Because not only is money a major consideration when the thought of more immigrants comes, but safety becomes paramount when considering the gangs and cartels that are itching to increase their foothold in the United States.

Those are just some of the issues that have prompted the former president to do what the current president won’t, and visit the Texas border along with Gov. Gregg Abbott. When news of his trip became public knowledge, renewed hope began to spread among southerners, not because they believe that Trump’s presence will help, but because the former president is a problem solver.
According to Fox News, the trip will take place at the end of this month, and will feature the pair visiting what was described as an “unmitigated disaster zone.” In his press release about the visit, Trump said that he and the Texas governor would visit the “decimated” border to see what is being called a deteriorating situation and one that the former president lays at the feet of the Biden administration due to their decisions to reverse many of his immigration policies.
“Biden and Harris have handed control of our border over to cartels, criminals, and coyotes. Drug dealers, MS-13 gang members, human smugglers, sex traffickers, and the criminal elements of the world now have free reign,” Trump said in a statement. “What Biden and Harris have done, and are continuing to do on our border, is a grave and willful dereliction of duty.”
The Biden administration has garnered no end of harassment from conservatives due to their decisions not to visit the southern border. Included in that unofficial boycott is Vice President Kamala Harris s who is officially in charge of the southern border, sometimes allee a border czar. While claiming to have the perfect plan for fixing massive immigration: money.
Harris went to the countries that have been deporting the most citizens hoping to defect to the United States and, in a nutshell, we would pay them to keep their citizens in their country and their country out of America’s business. For her troubles, Harris was booed, mocked, and told that she wasn’t in office legitimately (all things Americans have wanted to tell the frustratingly snooty vice president but many haven’t had the chance).
In the famous Charlie Daniels song ‘The Devil Went Down to Georgia,’ the devil went looking for a soul to steal but found instead some much-needed humility. In the case of President Joe Biden, it appears that he may have “gone” down to Georgia looking for some votes to steal, but is about to have his job handed to him by a guy saying to “sit down in that chair right there And let me show you how it’s done.”
The parallels are uncanny, on more than one level, but let me just close by saying, Trump told us once, he’s the best there’s ever been. We just didn’t believe him till now.
